Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

ATEEZ : Hear me out. So I went to see their concert film - and tbh I wasn't that impressed. But I did some research regarding a few highlight songs. And I have found them!
Miley Cyrus : New album context. Tbh like with previous releases I did not find many nice tracks on "Something Beautiful".
Gloria Estefan : New album context. "Raíces" sounds as boring as the cover image might imply.
Polar Noir : Fan times.

Most played tracks:

ATEEZ - Silver Light : What an amazing song. Why wasn't that a single?
ATEEZ - Cyberpunk : Also such a strong track, that should be a single.

Noteworthy:

Garbage : New album context. Tbh I expected more from "Let All That We Imagine Be The Light". The pre-single is definitely the best track.
Sam Sauvage : New release context. His self-titled EP has not much to offer.
Alison Goldfrapp : New release context. "Reverberotic" might not be the best pre-single, but I am still hyped about her upcoming album "Flux" (tbr on August 15).

█ Netflix hosted a new event called TUDUM last week - and their special surprise guest was Lady Gaga, who not only gave a highlight performance, but was also announced to have an appearance in the second season of Wednesday (later this year).

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

Hundredth : New album context. "Faded Splendor" has some nice tracks.
SG Lewis : Fan times. Also flashback times, because "times" reminds me of those first lockdown days.
Haute & Freddy : (see below)

Most played tracks:

Hundredth - Curve : Love that song!
Haute & Freddy - Shy Girl : What a great song! Also the music video rocks.

Noteworthy:

Sofi Tukker : New album context and fan times. So, "butter" features more mellow versions of songs from "BREAD". And it does work quite well.
Sam Feldt : New album context. Tbh I had no fun listening to "Time After Time".
Christina Aguilera : Flashback times. Did you know that she had both Nicki Minaj and Peaches as feature guests on her album "Bionic"? Well, for me that was a reason revisit the songs.
Damiano David : New album context. I'm not sure, if I will continue listening to "FUNNY little FEARS", because some tracks seem weak.
Bleach : Research context. I came across their new single "HAND GRENADE", which sounds quite good.
Grenzkontrolle : Recommendation context. Modern punk tunes will be checked out soon.

█ The 51st American Music Awards took place recently - and they were hosted by Jennifer Lopez, who started the show with a weird dance number. Winners include SZA (for R&B), Becky G (Best Latin), Gracie Abrams (Best New Artist), Eminem (Favorite Hi-Hop), Billie Eilish (Artist of the Year) and Janet Jackson (as some kind of icon). You got some legacy performances by Gwen Stefani, Gloria Estefan and Rod Stewart. But my only highlight was Reneé Rapp, who performed her new single "Leave Me Alone".
