Free Your Mind (#953)

Ahoy,

finally the FIFA hype can end... and I was on vacation - so I hardly scrobbled anything.

Scrobble count: 214.276

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

Tina Turner : Anniversary release context. One of my favorite albums has turned 30. And that me check out the new remastered versions, which sound pretty much the same. ^^
Prospa : Hype context. The title track of their debut album "Free Your Mind" has a strong history in the UK charts - so I checked out the album. Unfortunately the other album tracks sound worse.

Most played tracks:

[nothing to highlight here]

Noteworthy:

DJ Seinfeld : Collaboration context. SG Lewis is featured on the song "Something That I've Never Known", which is a nice bop.

The rest is just a bit of research or shuffle content.

Danceteria (#952)

Ahoy,

July has started... and some hot days will come.

Scrobble count: 214.241

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

Madonna : New album context. "CONFESSIONS II" is here! So I will take my time to get to know the new vibes.
Katie Melua : Flashback times. I wanted to rediscover her album "The House", which was produced by William Orbit.
Tocotronic : Playlist times. I felt the need to check out my favorite tracks by this band.

Most played tracks:

Madonna - Danceteria : What a bop! I'm hoping for a full music video, because this track deserves it.

Noteworthy:

Duran Duran : (Not so) New release context. "Free To Love" with Nile Rodgers comes with a funky retro vibe and also with tons of remixes - like the one by Trixie Mattel.
FEEZZ : Shuffle context. I came across their album "Liebe Sex Drogen", which I will probably listen to soon. The track "Fear and Loathing in Berghain" sounds nice.
Lykke Li : Shuffle context. The algorithm(s) made me check out The Magician Remix of "Lucky Again" and it is a banger.
M.I.A. : Yup, those two new tracks again.
Streichelt : Shuffle context. Wow, "HIT" is a nice song.
Alok : Curiosity context - thanks to feature guest Jennifer Lopez. But both versions of "Everything's Fine" do not really convince me yet.
