New Woman (#854)

Ahoy,

I've found a new favorite track for this Summer...

Scrobble count: 201.556

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

Will Young : New album context. The title track of "Light It Up" aside there are some nice tunes on it.
Filow : Hype context. Sometimes I'm late to the party, but a song like "Rasenschach" deserves some recognition. Also the story behind it seems funny to me. But the artist could soon be canceled, if he stays this provocative.
Khalid : New album context. I doubt, that I will listen to all tracks of "Sincere", because I don't feel the RnB vibe.

Most played tracks:

LISA - New Woman (feat. ROSALÍA) : What a bop. Although the music video seems a bit much, this collaboration kind of has everything. If only the ending wasn't this quick.
Stray Kids - Chk Chk Boom (Festival Ver.) : Yup, I won't deny how much I like this track.
Peggy Gou - Find The Way : It has similar features like "Nanana", but is still catchy enough.
Tove Lo & SG Lewis - Desire : This one has grown on me.

Noteworthy:

Michèl vob Wussow : Promotion context. He will play a concert over here, so I was checking out his latest tunes. But I'm not sure.
Post Malone : New album context. Tbh I'm not sure, if I will continue to listen to "F-1 Trillion".
Todrick Hall : Just those few nice track of "ICON".
070 Shake : Flashback times to "Modus Vivendi".
ENHYPEN & Ava Max : Catchy times - thanks "Brought The Heat Back".
Grupo Firme & Demi Lovato : Their collaboration track "Chula" is a nice blend of Latin and Dance pop.

Chk Chk Boom (#853)

Ahoy,

last week saw me listening to a bunch of new releases...

Scrobble count: 201.342

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

HGich.T : New album context. "Lenovobeach" starts interesting, because of unusual vocals. But the second half seems weaker. The title track is definitely a highlight for me.
Gryffin : New album context. "PULSE" might give you tons of collaborations, but it lacks any highlights.
ENHYPEN : New album context. "ROMANCE : UNTOLD" may have had its charts success, but I find it disappointing.

Most played tracks:

ENHYPEN & Ava Max - Brought The Heat Back : Quite nice collab version of a catchy song.
Stray Kids - Chk Chk Boom (Festival Ver.) : I really like this version, because of the heavy beats and the drops!

Noteworthy:

SHOKI : Research context. She released a few new tracks on "Cumshot", but nothing worth noting right now.
ENNIO : New release context. I've checked out his pre-singles for the upcoming album. But "Die Jungs" feels very downtempo.
Alison Goldfrapp : New release context. The artist started a new label and produced a song with Richard X, that I would connect with Kylie Minogue. And thus it was no surprise for me to hear familiar sounds on her new single "I Wanna Be Loved (Just a Little Better)".
Delta Goodrem : Yup, still that one good song - "Hearts On The Run".

News

█ The Killers came back for a new single. "Bright Lights" has retro vibes and reminds me of Arcade Fire a bit. The music video looks like a performance in Las Vegas. Speaking of Vegas - the band has now a residency in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for a few weeks - to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album "Hot Fuzz". (You know, that place, which they built for Céline Dion.)

█ Looks like Katy Perry's comeback does not get much attention, because also her second pre-single "LIFETIMES" has low numbers compared to other new releases.
