Talk To Me (#928)

Ahoy,

recently I got my music radar back on...

Scrobble count: 210.728

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

DRAMA : New album context.
Meltt : New album context. "Up All Night" doesn't sound that convincing, as I already have forgotten most of it.
Robyn : New release context. Her pre-singles do have a moment.

Most played tracks:

DRAMA - Here With Me : What a bop. Too bad it takes ages until the first beat drop.
Robyn - Talk To Me : Certain elements make me think of "Dancing On My Own" - but it still is a nice addition to her party tracks.

Noteworthy:

WIZZY067 : Oops, you got me - listening to mediocre ghetto rap.
bangerfrabrique : I think this act has potential.
Ebow : Recommendation context. I was listening to a hip-hop radio show.
Haute & Freddy : Call me hooked on their new single "Dance The Pain Away".
London Grammar : Fan times. (New concert dates, please.)
Madonna : Fan times.

holding on (#927)

Ahoy,

last week I had a nice time, getting to know new releases. And I guess I've found a new favorite track.

Scrobble count: 210.621

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

Cher : Fan times and research context. I wanted to get to know her album tracks, that weren't part of hit song compilation - so I've checked out "Heart Of Stone", "Love Hurts" and "It's A Man's World" - and there wasn't much to find.
Madonna : Fan times.
Brandy : Flashback times. I was revisiting her 2008 album "Human", that was some kind of sweet spot for me back then.

Most played tracks:

Loose Goose, A-Trak, Gus Dapperton - holding on : What a great song. The music video totally fits the vibe.

Noteworthy:

Black Country, New Road : Recommendation context. Tbh "Forever Howlong" seems like a fever dream - as in hard to bear. This is so not my cup of tea.
Hinterlandgang : New album context. "Vielleicht wird alles gut" starts with surprisingly strong banger beats, until the more soft tracks take over.
PEDRO SAMPAIO : That "Sequencias" album has its moments.
The Beaches : "No Hard Feelings" is a good record.
