D-DAY (#836)

Ahoy,

still catching up...

Scrobble count:  199.147

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• Agust D : Hype context. So I went to the concert film - and I really liked some songs. So I looked for a setlist online, then went through his music and created a playlist. What a shame that I did not really get to know the album "D-DAY", when it was released in 2023.

• Bob Vylan : New album context. "Humble As The Sun" was a disappointment for me.

• j-hope : Research context. His EP "HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1" might be something for fans. But I was not really convinced.

Most played tracks:

• Jam & Spoon - Angel (Ladadi O-Heyo) [Airplay Edit] [feat. Plavka] : What a lovely blast from the past. This track was one of my favorite songs in the 90s, when it was new.

• Agust D - D-DAY : What an opener! Great track.

Noteworthy:

• Sarah Jarosz : Fan times.
• Conan Gray : Still enjoying his newer music.
• Gossip : Still not so familiar with their music.

Ahoy,

catching up a bit...

Scrobble count:  198.729

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• Justin Timberlake : New album context. They made a good choice with the pre-single for "Everything I Thought It Was", because "Selfish" seems like the best song. But the rest feels quite disappointing considering all the years the artist took his time.

• Everything Everything : New album context. "Mountainhead" did not impress me much.

• Kacey Musgraves : New album context. "Deeper Well" has its moments, but I think I need another spin.

• Dilla : Concert context. I was in need to get to know "Also bin ich", before going to a concert in the neighborhood. It was really nice.

Most played tracks:

• girl in red - DOING IT AGAIN BABY : This is such a bop.

• ÄTNA - Lucky Dancer : Wow. This comeback song sounds impressive - and it comes with a nice music video.

• Kansy - Flashing Lights : Yup, I guess, I like that one.

Noteworthy:

• Nadine Shah : New album context. "Filthy Underneath"

• Shygirl : "CLUB SHY" is definitely a great release of 2024.

• Kaiser Chiefs : New album contect. "Kaiser Chief's Easy Eighth Album" sounds okay.
