Stille Før Du Kom (#762)

Ahoy,

late...

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• Snow Tha Product : Research context. Because of an article about the artist I was listening to her latest album "To Anywhere", which sounds okay.

• Johnny Orlando : Re-release context. "all the things that could go wrong" has now a version with two additional tracks. But the album lacks any highlights for me.

• Christine and the Queens : New album content. "Redcar les adorables etoiles" did challenge me more than I was expecting.

• DMA'S : Fan times. Can't wait for the first reviews of their 2023 album "How Many Dreams?".

• Fitz and the Tantrums : New album context. Sorry, but "Let Yourself Free" seems cheap to me.

Most played tracks:

[nothing this week]

Noteworthy:

• Anna of the North : New album context. "Crazy Life" convinces me as a fine album of modern alternative pop.

• Phoenix : New album context. "Alpha Zulu" is really strong.

• Lady Gaga : Fan times.
• Oh Land : New release context. My favorite track of her EP "XTRA" is "Stille Før Du Kom".

News

█ The 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards took place in Düsseldorf (Germany). The event was hosted by Rita Ora and her partner Taika Waititi, which wasn't as fun as it sounded in the first place - some takes even made me cringe. Kraftwerk was celebrated a bit. Taylor Swift has won many awards and I couldn't care less. Highlights of the show included Tate McRae and Gayle. Best Song went to Nicki Minaj ("Super Freaky Girl") and Best New are Seventeen. badmómzjay was awarded Best German Act.
