Illusion Pool (#808)

Ahoy,

I have listened to many (!) new releases.

Scrobble count:  195.178

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• Doja Cat : New album context. "Scarlet" comes with no feature guest. And most of it is not my cup of tea.

• twenty4tim : New album context. "Phoenix" gets emotional at times, but its general vibe is so superficial, that it hurts.

• K.Flay : New album context. "MONO" has its moments.

• Thirty Seconds To Mars : New album context. "It's The End Of The World But It's A Beautiful Day" should have been cancelled. The band switched their sound to heavy pop and who would like that?

Most played tracks:

• Adam Miller - Illusion Pool : Oh, this is some nice indie pop tune.

• Broadside, Devin Papadol - Lucid : Promotion context. Also a bit catchy.

Noteworthy:

• Slayyyter : New album context. "Starfucker" has some nice alternative pop tunes.

• Mitski : New album context. "The Land Is Inhospitable And So Are We" sounds quite mellow and slow overall.

• Kim Petras : New/Re-release context. "Problematique" seems to come out of the blue, but the tracks are not that new. I did not make out any highlight track tbh.

• The Beaches : New album context. "Blame My Ex" gives you everything you might expect. A really nice alternative rock record.

• LGoony : New album context. "sad sad story" makes me sad, because I think it's not that good.
