Times Like These (#630)

Hi,

so we reached May. And its first Music Monday coincides with the beloved Star Wars Day. So may the 4th be with you, everybody.

Last week in covers:

Noteworthy:

• 070 Shake : Fan times.
• Rina Sawayama : New album context. "Sawayama" was okay. :/
• PLANET : Fan times.
• Ufo361 : New album context. "Rich Rich" sounds so boring. :(
• Aekjubohra : New (self-titled) album context. Here you have some nice rock songs from my home region. I'll continue to support this band, even though not all songs work for me.

Most played artists:

• The Weeknd : Fan times.
• Fleurie : New album context. "Portals" was quite nice to listen to.
• CHVRCHES : Workout context.

Most played tracks:

• AWOLNATION - The Best (feat. Alice Merton) : What a bop. Try it a few times and it might grow on you. :)

News?

█ The BBC has gathered many artist for a special version of "Times Like These", which is a Foo Fighters track from 2003. These so-called "Live Lounge Allstars" jumped right at the top of the UK single charts.
█ Madonna's 1994 album "Bedtime Stories" peaked at the US iTunes album charts in celebration of its 26th anniversary.
█ TXT have released a concept trailer for an upcoming (mini?) album - called "The Magic Chapter: ETERNITY". And it looks quite good, of course.
█ Tbh I had no doubts, that Ufo361 would top the German album charts ("Rich Rich") - and Ramon Roselly ("Herzenssache") also gained success.

New in the German charts:

Note: I had to change my source for the actual charts data - in the last weeks there seem to have been quite a few mistakes. I am sorry about that. :(
[01] Shirin David - 90-60-111 : Yikes, there she is again. I predict she will be gone next week.
[02] Ufo361 - Emotions : Yuck, what a weak song. :(
[08] The Scotts (Travis Scott & Kid Cudi) - The Scotts : Hm, some rappers joined forces and this was the result. Tbh not my cup of tea, but it sounds much more creative than #1 and #2 combined.
