Welcome To My Island (#777)

Ahoy,

this week I feel quite on time...

Scrobble count:  190.549

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• Caroline Polachek : New album context. "Desire, I Want To Turn Into You" has its moments and a few highlight tracks like "Bunny Is A Rider" and "Fly To You".

• P!nk : New album context. "TRUSTFALL" seems like a mixed bag to me - but then again: what P!nk album does not? I love her record "Try This!", but that was a long time ago. Among her new tracks you have some dance vibes like "Runaway" or the title track - and more mellow ones. Idk.

• Gorillaz : New album context. "Cracker Island" is a strong record with nice feature guests. Feel free to check it out.

• Stray Kids : New album context. "THE SOUND" did not convince me much. :(

• WILDES : Curiosity context. So there is a second music act by the name of WILDES - this time from Germany. The start of their latest album "Klischee" might sound strong, but I was quickly getting tired of spoken lyrics.

Most played tracks:

• Caroline Polachek - Welcome To My Island : A song, that you can get in different versions, because of some nice remixes - like with George Daniel and Charli XCX or PVA.

Noteworthy:

• Aly & AJ : Fan times. I am hyped about their upcoming album.

• The Subways : I added a few tracks of their latest album "Uncertain Joys" to my best of 2023 playlist.

• Shania Twain : Believe it or not - her song "Waking Up Dreaming" did grow on me a lot.
