Leck mich am Arsch, amore mio! (#801)

Ahoy,

this week I can cover much new music.

Scrobble count:  194.313

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• Post Malone : New album context. "AUSTIN" comes with surprisingly many pop tunes. The artist had Max Martin producing two tracks, which have a catchy vibe.
• Travis Scott : New album context. "UTOPIA" has a big production value and many feature guests, but you better not listen to the lyrics.

• N-Dubz : New album context. I do not like "Timeless", because I hardly could connect to any song.
• The Sherlocks : New album context. "People Like Me & You" is a solid alternative album, I would recommend to anyone. It even got me thinking about a concert ticket.

Most played tracks:

• Fortuna Ehrenfeld - Leck mich am Arsch, amore mio! : What an odd song. Usually I'm not into this band, but this one has something.

• Post Malone - Sign Me Up : A song with "la la la" part. But catchy AF. Although "Enough Is Enough" has surpassed this one as my latest earworm track.

Noteworthy:

• ITZY : New release context. I am quite disappointed by their EP "KILL MY DOUBT" - just as much as with previous releases.

• NewJeans : Hype context. I've read a very positive rewiew about the mini album "Get Up", that it might be the best K-Pop sound these days. But tbh I am not convinced.

• Snakehips : New album context. I started listening "never worry", but I am not sure, whether I want to know the rest.

• Giant Rooks : New release context. The new single "Somebody Like You" sounds nice.

Ahoy,

every now and then I reach a new number peak. So now I need to get used to start my numbering with an eight.

Scrobble count:  194.094

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• London Grammar : New release context. "The Remixes" has a few nice versions of known songs.

• Georgia : New album context. "Euphoric" could have used a few more uptempo tunes.

• Paula Carolina : New release context. Her EP "Heiß/Kalt" seems like a solid mini album.

Most played tracks:

• Roosevelt - Paralyzed : Fan times. The artist recently announced his fourth studio album "Embrace" - and with it another pre-single was released. A nice bop, that totally fits in his discography. I already have my ticket for an upcoming concert in Berlin (in December).

• Normandie - Blood In The Water : Fan times. Seems like a new album will be announced soon.

• Paul Oakenfold & Azealia Banks - Hypnotic (Benny Benassi & BB Team Remix) : Still a nice bop.

Nachts wach (#799)

Ahoy,

so I had another "party mission" last week, which got me playing a few recent pop tracks - and also some Barbie-related bops... and even some blasts from the past. :) I guess I can be satisfied.

Meanwhile at my stats:

Scrobble count:  194.004

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• MisterWives : New album context. "Nosebleeds" has an overall nice tracklist, but it comes without any highlight for me.

• Disclosure : New album context. Tbh "Alchemy" made it clear, that I don't like their sound a lot.

• Ice Spice : New album context. "Like..?" seems to be something for fans.

• Gorgon City : New album context. "Salvation" sounds solid.

Most played tracks:

• Alesso & John Newman - Call Your Name : That drop, dude. Nicely done. Makes me want to repeat the song.

• Alok & Ava Max - Car Keys (Ayla) : I guess this dance track also has grown on me.

• Miksu / Macloud, makko - Nachts wach (Lila Wolken Bootleg) : What a great sample-infused remix. The Spotify shuffle made me discover this tbh.

Noteworthy:

• Ariana Grande : Research context. I was asked for any favorite tracks by this singer. So I
• Chicane : Bop context. "Nineteen Eighty Five"!

Seven (#798)

Ahoy,

I had a huge 90s dance music flashback recently, which made me listen to Culture Beat, Capella and other acts from that time...

Scrobble count:  193.811

Last week in covers:

Most played artists:

• Keeley : New album context. I already wrote everything about "Floating Above Everything Else" in a previous post.

• Taylor Swift : Research context. I was looking for a dance version of one of her hit songs - and I came across "Love Story". Can you believe that the Digital Dog Remix skips the best part of the song?

Most played tracks:

• Nightly - dry eyes : What a bop! I could listen to this song every day.

Noteworthy:

• Various Artists : Hype context. So here it is - "Barbie - The Album"
• Joel Corry : New album context. I started listening to some tracks of "Another Friday Night", but I haven't found any highlight yet.

• Lady Gaga : Fan times.
• Alesso & John Newman : New release context. "Call Your Name" is a banger - including strong vocals and a nice drop. It took me two spins to put it in my party playlist.

• Captain Hollywood Project : Flashback times. I was listening to my favorite track by this act - "Find Another Way", which also has a nice Extended Version.

• Cigarettes After Sex : New release context. Both new tracks ("Bubblegum" and "Stop Waiting") give me hardly anything new - regarding their typical sound.

【09】 RAF Camora, HoodBlaq - TROPICANA : Yikes, those lyrics. :-/
